FORMER BOXING CHAMP BASH ALI IN A SCUFFLE WITH NIGERIAN SPORTS MINISTERS SECURITY AIDES

Nigerian former World Boxing Federation cruiser weight boxing champion Bash Ali was recently involved a scuffle with the security aides of the Nigerian sports minister as he was said to have breached protocol as he attempted to see the Minister at a gathering. The security men would have none of this and since Bash Ali decided to barge his way through,he was involved in a scuffle with them as they dragged him outside the venue of the event. Bash Ali was fuming after the incident as he claimed that he was disrespected by the minister's aides who were not convinced of the fact that they should accord him some regard in view of the fact that he was once a boxing champion.  Bash is trying to become the oldest man to seek a title challenge and he wants that event to be held in Nigeria,he was said to have sought audience with President Goodluck Jonathan after scuffling with his aides too during the recently held 'Rhythym 'N'Play' which was held in Abuja National Stadium. The ensuing scuffled came to the President's attention who directed him to see the sports minister to discuss his proposal. Ali was said to have attempted to see Abdullahi at a private luncheon and was manhandled by the minister's aides who prevented from having audience with the minister. A visibly angry Ali charged'“There is no respect in this country for the people who should be respected,” Ali fumed. “How can I, when all I am trying to do is lift up my country’s name, be assaulted by a bunch of scoundrels all in the name of protecting their master? I was already a world champion when they were in primary school.”
