CELEBRATION OF A CONVICTED FELON IN 'MUMUDOM' CALLED NIGERIA

The ex-governor of Delta State James Ibori who is currently serving a 13 years jail sentence in UK had his birthday celebrated in absentia by his friends and well wishers. The pictures above were taken at the scene and sent to Naijaman by one of our readers.
How pathetic and disgusting! Celebrating Ibori who is a convicted thief!! Well, who am I to blame them, its normal now in the 'Mumudom' known as Nigeria. It is only in Nigeria where if you steal a goat you get 10 years jail sentence, if you steal a governor's phone you get 10 years jail sentence,if you are a government official and you loot billions, you are granted state pardon. If you kill, maim and murder many innocent Nigerians, the government will reward you with amnesty and rehabilitate you while the relatives of your victims are left to fend for themselves. What a country!
James Ibori would have been walking free now in Nigeria if not for the juduciary in UK.
This is absolute madness! It is only in Nigeria a thief is celebrated. How can one in his sane imagination celebrate the birthday of a prisoner (in his absence). When i watched the footage on the news i was so disgusted! Ibori is in jail for stealing Delta states money and people are doing thanksgiving in church on his behalf. I wonder who is the pastor of the church where the service was held? Nigeria is full of bold and shameless thieves!Someone serving term' in jail for crime should be a thing of shame for his family and friends, if they have any iota of shame ,they should all be avoiding him,not celebrating him! I wept as i watch so called Elders and eminent folks parade themselves in the church celebrating a common criminal.! This same shameless elders will later pontificate and tell the youths of Nigeria that corruption and quick money schemes are not good expecting them to listen when they are celebrating a thief.
