Iyetade Soyinka the daughter of the great novelist and nobel prize winner Wole Soyinka is dead. She was born June 6, 1965 and she passed on at the university teaching hospital Ibadan, the cause of her death hasn’t yet been disclosed all we know is she died in the hospital where she was being treated for an undisclosed ailment.
Her death was disclosed in a statement signed by Jahman Anikulapo who is Wole Soyinka’s aide; In the statement we were made to know that Iyetade Soyinka was a student at staff School and Queens School, Ibadan and she later furthered her studies at the University of Ibadan school of medicine.
The statement described Iyetade Soyinka as a “affable, intelligent and sometimes capricious,” woman adding that she “struggled with her health in recent years.” Despite her health woes, the late Iyetade Soyinka “greeted every day with a smile and doted on her two children.”
