She attended Queen’s College Yaba Lagos and later proceeded to the College of Medicine,University of Lagos to study Medicine. The victim was said to be a resident at Marshfield clinic in Texas.
Isioma was said to be full of life and her former and current colleagues are said to be still in a state of shock after the incident
Her husband, a 63-year-old Nigerian man was later charged with murder after he confessed to the shooting her around 3 a.m on Saturday March 22,2014 in west Harris County, Texas USA.
Martin Ebegbodi went to a neighbor’s house and asked him to call police after getting into a fight and then shooting his wife, 36-year-old Isioma Ebegbodi nee Unokanjo.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the house in the 19700 block of Youpon Leaf Way and arrested Ebegbodi.Martin Ebegbodi and Isioma J Unokanjo were married on February 11, 2005 in Harris County, Texas with Marriage certificate number 018430.The deceased was born in 1978 in Nigeria and their marriage is blessed with children.
Isioma's mum was a matron in LUTH before she retired last year,her father is a medical doctor, his hospital in Surulere was named after her 'ISIOMA HOSPITAL'...She's their first daughter....Sources claim that her husband shot her in her sleep by 3am...but before he killed her they have been having arguments, quarrels, fights, there was even a time he called police to arrest his wife because she was disrespecting him.
