I AM STILL SEARCHING FOR MR RIGHT-AFROCANDY

When the pictures/Video of her new x-rated movie surfaced , 41 year old mother of 2, Judith Opara Mazagwu aka Afro Candy made it clear she has no shame and doesn't care about the haters.
In this interview conducted last month, she opens up on her life, what propelled to take on a music career, her plans to produce an all porn movie...and how she was raped and disvirgined at 19 years.
And yes guys...she is single and searching....lol
How did you come into the Nollywood industry?
I started acting in Nigerian movie since 2003 and most of my films then were very appreciated by the people, since I receive feedback in over 80 movies I have acted. Back in Nigeria, I could not do the daring moves I am undertaking here in America.
When did you come to America?
I migrated to the United States in 2005 with my ‘Green Card’ and was married like one year plus. And due to much envy, inferiority complex and insecurity of my former husband in Nigeria, we parted ways. But on arrival in America, life was so tough, very challenging as a mother of two. After a long while, I later took part in Hollywood films.
Are you not planning to re-marry?
I have not seen my right match since I am still in search of Mr. Right, who must be wealthy, I don’t care whether he is handsome or ugly.

NIGERIAN ARMY'S EDITED VIDEO OF KLLING OF SHI'ITES IN NIGERIA

This video was edited to fit a narrative. What happened in between? At the end of the first part I could see the leaders of the people telling their people to move back. What happened in between?
I do not support the Shi'ites blockage and disturbance of public peace. The greater evil here is that this impunity on the part of these youths is an indication of what politicians and religious leaders allowed to fester in the North of Nigeria. There is a high rate of joblessness and illiteracy among the youth in Northern Nigeria. This makes them vulnerable to brainwashing.

VIGILANTE REPRESSION OF GAYS IN NIGERIA

While Naijaman admit that Gay culture might be alien to the way of life of most Nigerians, the law that aims to jail folks for being gay is rather peculiar as there are more pressing legislations that would help move the nation forward such as ensuring that corrupt politicians and their cronies face the full wrath of the law for their corrupt practices.Getting vigilantes to go after Gay folks is rather primitive and medieval in Naijaman's opinion.

MEDICAL TOURISM BY NIGERIANS CAN GO AWRY-CASE OF CHINEYE NWAFOR

HOW CHINEYE WAS MURDERED!!!
The prayer of every mother is to train her child and in turn the child trains her when she's old. That was not to be my case as I watched my little Chineye who had just graduated a month ago dies in my arms owing to the negligence and wickedness of the Indian doctors of Fortis Hospital, New Delhi, India.
Chineye had just graduated from University of Abuja and was preparing for her NYSC but the family had decided that rather than just sit at home before her NYSC call-up, its best she corrects her right limb which was severely shortened after a fall in 2001. Following the fall in which she broke her femur (thigh bone) she had a surgery which involved the insertation of k-nail (iron) to support the bone. The iron eventually broke into two and a surgery was necessitated to remove the 2 piece of broken iron and correct the short limb that was causing her a lot of pains. . Little did I know that the Indian doctors had planned to kill my dear Chineye or how else should I put it?

PBS REPORT ON CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA

Another report on Nigeria showcased by PBS NewsHour. Sadly, corruption is a stain that those in power in Nigeria fail to wash out of the fabric of society. I think it's important to continue to keep an eye on Nigerian affairs, as it is destined to become one of the next newly-emerging economic powerhouses. In Nigeria, where corruption is part of daily life, police officers routinely demand bribes, local government leaders pocket money meant for schools and the former national security advisor is accused of stealing billions from the military. In this PBS series "Nigeria: Pain and Promise," special correspondent Nick Schifrin reports on the challenges of fighting corruption.

Dr. HASTIANAH IDIODI THOMAS DEATH AND THE SCROUGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media can be judge, jury and executioner. Unfortunately we sometimes jump to conclusions after reading things spread via social media without waiting to verify the facts!!!
The news has been making the rounds regarding the untimely death of Dr Hastianah Thomas in what seemed like rather suspicious circumstances. There are allegations that there were lacerations on her remains and the social media has been agog with people making comments and calling the Husband Dr Babafemi Thomas all sort of names.

Lets be clear that Naijaman does not condone violence and does not believe that would solve anything however the only facts that we have to work with now is that:
1) Dr Hastianah is dead.
2)Another fact is that her death is rather suspicious.
3) Fact number three is that the husband need to be asked what really transpired.
4) Hastianah's mother who happened to be a trained Psychologists has come out to say that she is appalled at the gale of accusations that are being leveled at her son -in-law,Dr Babafemi Thomas
5) Nigerian mothers are fiercely protective of their daughters even when they are married. You can not kill or lay hands on their daughter and expect that they would not come after you with all that they got. Now that is a well known fact in the Nigerian context.

Having itemized all these facts it is rather extremely irresponsible to just jump to hasty conclusions when an autopsy/forensic review of the case has not been done. Furthermore, the family is grappling with rather crippling grief that that are trying to come to terms with with and folks are just having verbal diarrhea calling the husband all sort of nasty names. Once again,I am not holding brief for the husband nor defending him but people should rather state the facts of what we know for now while we wait for the results of autopsy and police investigation instead of just jumping to conclusions.

USMLE STEP 3 EXPERIENCE

I am a resident who took Step 3 towards the end of intern year. I took a rather unusual course to actualize my residency dreams as I did USMLE Step CS first around July 2008 and I was about to max out on the seven limit to pass all USMLE steps that most state medical Boards stipulate. I decided to schedule my Step 3 exam in June 2015 so as to beat the looming deadline.
As an intern,I was rather busy and the time to study was not there as there was a ton of stuff to do clinical wise and preparing for didactics. I was given 5 days vacation to finalize my reading and during those 5 days I read like my life gonna to end.

Prior Step Scores
UW cumulative 56%
USMLE Self assessment 204
Real deal 217

Study
- UWorld Qbank: I was only able to go through the entire questions once and I was not able to go over the questions that I got wrong. My average cumulative was 56% which made me a bit concerned as I was aiming for 60% so as to be on the safe side.
- UWorld CCS Cases: Did about 10 cases in earnest and read the answers to the OB/Gyn and Peds cases the day before the test
- MTB Step 3: Read most of this focusing on OB/Gyn, Peds, Surg the week before the test
-I did USMLE world self assessment test about three weeks before my test and I scored 204 which was relieve that I passed but I was till worried about the low score

Things I did not do
- I did not do NBME or Kaplan questions

Step 3 Score: 217

Yes, my score went up significantly from my USMLE Self assessment test.

My advice for test takers - Your money is on doing the CCS cases and going through MTB's suggestions so you are thorough on the cases and ordering the little things you take for granted. Ie. NPO before surgery, IV placement before giving fluids, COUNSELING, etc.

If you are doing residency try to study on slower rotations or do some cases/questions gradually on hard rotations.

What I wish I knew before
- Focus on studying the areas you are weaker on and learning the format of the CCS portion of the test.
- The CCS cases portion of this test is only 20-30% of your total score which is a huge chunk thus if you fail the CCS part then you fail all of Step 3. The USMLE CCS cases and the cases on USMLE website has most of what you need to pass and If you want to overkill the CCS,the Archer can also help.
- SKIP the stupid drug abstract questions as they are so time consuming and come back to them at the end of the block with remaining time. to ensure you retain your sanity
- Separate your two test days by up to a week, so that you can take some time to nail the CSS portion.

I am glad to be done with USMLE Steps

BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN FINALLY PASSES AWAY

Finally the long drawn out health saga regarding Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 22-year-old daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston ended today as she has passed away after her long stay in a Hospice.
The family was said to have allowed nature to take its course which must have been a very tough decision to take after all the initial tests have revealed that there is no hope for survival as she has developed extensive brain damage.
A Houston family representative said in a statement ' Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday July,26 2015,surrounded by her family,'' the statement said. ''She is finally at peace in the arms of God.We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.'' May her soul rest in peace.

BRIDE FAILED TO SHOW UP AT WEDDING

Confusion As Bride Shuns Wedding Ceremony in Lagos.

**Groom waiting in vain in the Ado Ekiti church with relatives and friends.

It was confusion yesterday at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Okesa, Ado Ekiti as a bride refused to turn-up for her wedding ceremony. The groom, his friends and relatives waited in vain for the arrival of the bride until they found out that she was not coming.

The infuriated groom and his friends were said to have visited their anger on the lady’s residence in the capital city. Sources said indications that something was wrong first emerged when the Cathedral Administrator, who had gone out earlier in the morning got back to his residence at the time the wedding was to take place, changed his clothes and went out again.

“Then we knew that something was wrong and people had been coming here since around noon and we have been telling them that the wedding has been postponed,” the source said.

According to the source, the problem, which could not be identified had to do with the bride, adding, “only that we suspect that it must be a family issue as we gathered that the lady’s parents are dead.”

Another source said the lady, an indigene of Ado Ekiti, had already been living with a man, who she had been saying was her relation. Unconfirmed sources also said the matter was taken to the palace of the Ado Ekiti monarch, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, for intervention.

INCONSISTENCIES IN THE STORY OF SAMBO DASUKI AND SSS

Matters Arising From The Different Press Statements by Sambo Dasuki & The DSS.

Two sides to a story:

This is what is left of Sambo Dasuki's Asokoro residence after the siege by the DSS.

In a Press Statement by Sambo Dasuki the embattled ex-NSA, 9 cars, 3 rifles and $40,000 USD was confiscated by the DSS operatives who stormed his house in Asokoro, Gestapo style.
The SSS has also put out a Press Statement. In their submission 12 exotic cars out of which 5 are bullet proof, 7 high calibre assault rifles, military vests, gears with several incriminating evidence were recovered from Sambo Dasuki's house in Asokoro.
Naijaman feel that there is a lot of inconsistencies in the story peddled by both sides:

1) $40,000 mentioned by Sambo Dasuki in his press statement was curiously missing from that of the SSS? Does it mean that the money has been appropriated by the goons from SSS or is Sambo Dasuki lying.

2) Sambo Dasuki said 9 cars were taken away from his house while the SSS said they removed 12 exotic cars, 5 of which are bulletproof. Is it that Sambo Dasuki does not know the number of cars he has or did the SSS in its magnanimity elected to bequeath him extra vehicles?

3) Sambo Dasuki said they took 3 rifles from his house whereas the DSS said that they recovered 7 high calibre assault rifles from Sambo's house.

Naijamans take regarding all this brouhaha is that ,if security operatives comes to your house with a search warrant, by law they are supposed to conduct the search in your presence. Before they remove any incriminating evidence from your house, they must itemise the item(s) and both party must sign that these item (s) were taken away from your property.

So why are there two different manifests of the items seized from Sambo Dasuki's Asokoro residence by the SSS? Didn't they follow simple procedure and agreed convention for conducting and executing a search warrant?

Sambo Dasuki and the DSS operatives who carried out the search on his property should please compare notes and reconcile their discrepancies! They ought to be on the same page in order not to be seen as attempting to obstruct justice!

FIGHTING BOKO HARAM WITH MEDIEVAL METHODOLOGY

With Boko Haram using innocent kids as suicide bombers in the northern part of Nigeria, sight like this though understandable is a rather painful reminder how Nigerians have allowed religion to be used as a weapon of destruction. The Northern elites should be held accountable for how they have used Islam as a political tool and their lack of tolerance for other faiths to lead us to this uneccessary quagmire.

The question that baffles Naijaman’s mind is that what if the kid was strapped with a bomb? Won't the Security personnel frisking the little dude with her hand be blown to oblivion?  As we start of this new regime in power, its time to ask what was done with all the billions of dollars that was expended under the name of security.
It appears that all the money expended on bomb detectors and detonators were all siphoned off to the pocket of the ruling rogue elites.

BOKO HARAM,THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH

Northern governors should hide their heads in shame because of what is happening in the north.
They thought that they could use Boko Haram to cripple the then government of Jonathan because they thought it was their inalienable right to continue to rule over the rest of Nigeria despite the fact that, they have de-industrialized and pauperized their states. Emphasis was placed on using Islam as a tool to cripple the minds of their people who is mostly gullible. Sharia law was imposed as a sort of opium to keep the average northerner to believe in the fathom utopia that religion was supposed to offer while the few rogue elites with their friend in power continued to plunder the north to the detriment of the masses. Its rather weird that the average northern elite will send their kids to the best schools both in Nigeria and abroad while they try to cripple the rest of the masses with the fact that all will be well so long as they attend Islamic schools and wreck religious havoc at the slightest provocation. It was the norm in the north that if there are religious riots, properties and churches are destroyed with the slightest whim while the northern elites looked the other way.

BALTIMORE MOTHER SLAPS FOR TAKING PART IN RIOTS-MOTHER OF THE YEAR

Call out the National Guard? How about call out more mama-bears like this good woman?! She'd have Baltimore flying straight in no time. Very, very proud to see a mama fight the good fight. And one writer said it was because she was embarrassed her son was rioting. No. This smart mom doesn't want to see her son get hurt. When she gets interviewed -- and she will -- I hope the interviewer will let her know that lots of us want to see her run for mayor!!!
She didn't attack her kid. She disciplined him. There's a difference. She wanted to teach him right from wrong and if you have a teenaged son who won't listen and is throwing rocks at the police, the only way to discipline him is to give him what he is dishing out, He got the message and left. Well done, Mom!
I agree. I am proud of her too. Many Moms and Dads want to be friends with their kids. He wouldn't have to worry about getting embarrassed if he would have done the right thing. He already knew Mom wouldn't approve. Perhaps that is why he was wearing the mask.

THE REMARKABLE STORY OF OKWUDILI OYATANZE AND OTHER DEATH ROW INMATES IN INDONESIA PRISON

Known in Indonesia’s penal system as “The Death Row Gospel Singer,” Mr. Oyatanze, 41, was arrested in 2001 while trying to smuggle 5.5 pounds of heroin through Jakarta’s international airport, in his stomach, after arriving on a flight from Pakistan. He was convicted the following year and sentenced to death.

Mr. Oyatanze has made the most of his incarceration, writing more than 70 songs and recording multiple albums behind bars. He has performed with prison guards as well as fellow inmates.
In the video, shot in 2008, Mr. Oyatanze sang his song “God You Know,” which was also the name of an album he released that year.
“He has turned his life around in jail,” said the Rev. Charles Burrows, a Catholic priest from Ireland who now lives in Indonesia and is offering religious counseling to Mr. Oyatanze as he awaits his execution.

Raised in outheastern Nigeria, Mr. Oyatanze started a garment business in 1999, traveling to Indonesia to buy clothing and resell it in Nigeria. The business collapsed, and Mr. Oyatanze, heavily in debt, traveled to Pakistan to try to revive it, at the suggestion of a fellow Nigerian living there.
The plan involved swallowing capsules of heroin before boarding a flight to Jakarta. “There was a chance to earn some easy money, so he became a courier,” Mr. Burrows said.Source: NYTimes.com

ANOTHER MAN WITH 30 KIDS ASKED FOR HELP FROM CHILD SUPPORT

What is going on with some men in Tenesse and the penchant for fathering many kids. Although this guy's case hit the news a while ago,the recent news of another man fathering 22 kids from 14 women has thrown this case back into the open. We need men who will step up and be real fathers and not just sperm donors making kids all over the whole place that they can't take care of.

THE BRUTAL SLAYING OF EMMANUEL SITHOLE IN SOUTH AFRICA XENOPHOBIC ATTACK

Some South African have shown a level of wickedness that is unspeakable and callous. They have
acted like animals in human skin this time around. The entire African continent rallied round them during their dark days when they were oppressed by white minority rulers. Many African countries gave money and scholarships to South Africans who were fleeing from their country. They were given asylum and made to feel welcome in the myriads of African countries where they found themselves even though they were not contributing anything. The fact that today they now have freedom and the only way that they can exercise this is to murder fellow Africans in broad daylight is totally despicable. The rest of Africans should curse the land called South Africa as they have desecrated the Land of Africa by spilling innocent lives. South Africans would never know peace, the Gods of Africa will curse their land and the perpetuators of these heinous crime for what they have done. These kind of savagery would not go unpunished and it is high time the whole of Africa rise up against these savages that reside in South Africa!!!!!!!!!. More pics after the cut (pics from Beauregard Tromp and James Oatway for Timeslive.co.za)

PATIENT DIES AT LUTH AFTER BEING DETAINED FOR DEBT

Death of detained mother over bill at LUTH raises more dusts

When earlier this year a campaign tagged “Not Again” was launched by notable women human rights group, Women Advocates Research & Documentation Centre, WARDC, calling for concerted efforts towards ending the increasing number of Nigerian women who die at childbirth, not many understood the need for more of such campaigns in Nigeria until a couple of weeks ago when another needless maternal death dramatically occurred. That death this time around resulted from the alleged detention of a mother of four at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, in Lagos, over her inability to completely settle a bill of N1,382,700. The victim gave up the ghost 43 days into detention, leaving behind four little children, the youngest being 4-month-old.

MIRACLE AS A SEVEN YEAR OLD WALK OUT OF A CRASHED PLANE ALIVE

A 7-year-old girl has survived a small plane crash that killed four in Kentucky. She was disoriented in the crash but well enough to walk to a home and report it.
The resident called 911 and the girl was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Associated Press reports.
Authorities found the aircraft a couple hours later and confirmed that the pilot and three passengers were killed, AP says.
"This girl came out of the wreckage herself and found the closest residence and reported the plane crash," Dean Patterson of the Kentucky State Police told AP. "It's a miracle in a sense that she survived it, but it's tragic that four others didn't."
Patterson identified those others as Marty and Kimberly Gutzler, their daughter, Piper Gutzler, 9, and her cousin, 14-year-old Sierra Wilder, all from Nashville, Ill. The name of the 7-year-old is being withheld at the request of family, police say.

Kathleen Bergen of the FAA says the pilot of a Piper PA-34 reported engine problems as it flew over Marshall County in the southwestern part of the state.
